Drawing, sketching.

When I'm on Exmoor I fill my sketch books with drawings. These are some of the examples from which paintings emerge later in my studio. The drawings contain not only the design and construction of the composition but are also filled with the memory of being in that place at that time. I'm particularly interested in the relationship between the near, middle and far distances and how they interact.
